The governance and administrative structures include a Biomedical Sciences Faculty Council, an Executive Committee, and three standing committees to Council. The Executive Committee is comprised of Basic Science Department Heads, the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, and the Dean of the College of Medicine.   The standing committees include a B.Sc. Programs Committee, a Graduate Programs Committee, and a Budget, Planning and Priorities Committee.  The standing committees have representation from each of the five Basic Science departments.  These committees report to the Associate Dean/Executive Committee and to the Divisional Faculty Council. The Associate Dean reports to the College of Medicine Council.

Division Assembly

Faculty Council functions include review of the activities of the standing committees of the Division; consideration of recommendations related to B.Sc. and graduate academic programs; and approval of major changes to academic programs of the Departments.

Executive Committee

Executive committee functions include review of activities and consideration of recommendations of the Standing Committees of the Division. Provides operational oversight and advise the Associate Dean on all matters related to the collective affairs of the Division of Biomedical Sciences.

Budget Planning & Priorities Committee 

Develops recommendations and reports to the Council and the Executive regarding budget; planning and determination of the priorities of the Division.

BSC Programs Committee

Advises the Executive and Council on all matters relating to the educational mandate of the Division.

Graduate Programs Committee

within the Division; develops and facilitates Departmental administrative commonalities.
