TERMS OF REFERENCE
B.Sc. Programs Committee
Objectives
To provide academic oversight of the core 2 yr B.Sc. curriculum of the Division, to advise and coordinate between B.Sc. programs offered by Departments within the Division, and to provide consultation with the various University stakeholders. The core B.Sc. curriculum refers to the six Divisional courses offered in the College of Arts and Science and the associated objectives, content and the collective teaching, learning and evaluation of Arts and Science students. The Departmental B.Sc. programs refer to the 3 and 4 year programs offered by Departments within the Division. Academic oversight of B.Sc. programs shall be conducted by the respective Departments in consultation with the B.Sc. Programs Committee.

Departmental Representatives
· Anatomy and Cell Biology
· Biochemistry
· Microbiology and Immunology
· Pharmacology
· Physiology
Associate Dean, Undergraduate Affairs, Arts and Science
Appointment/Term of Office
1. Membership by virtue of administrative position or appointment by Department Heads.
2. The chairperson of the B.Sc. Programs Committee shall be elected from amongst its membership.
3. Term of office for Departmental Representatives is determined by the respective Department Heads.
Duties
1. To identify needs, problems and solutions related to the B.Sc. curricula.
2. To review and provide feedback to curriculum-related documents as required.
3. To advise the Executive Committee on allocation of Departmental responsibilities within the 2 yr Core Curriculum
Meetings
The B.Sc. Programs Committee shall meet once every month and otherwise as needed.
Quorum
1. Quorum is more than 50% of members.
Minutes
1. Minutes of all meetings shall be recorded and kept on file in the Dean’s Office.
2. The minutes shall be available to all committee members and faculty in the Division.
3. Any information deemed to be confidential in nature (i.e. student health or personal issues) shall be handled and stored in a secure manner.
4. Confidential information recorded during meetings shall be kept in the Dean’s Office files and location of this information referenced in the minutes.
Reports
1. The Chair shall report to the Division Faculty Council and to the Executive Committee as required.
