The Pre Med Club is a campus club at the University of Saskatchewan. The goal of the group is to offer support and resources for those interested in medicine as a career. The group is fully ratified with the student’s union and has support from the students and staff of the College of Medicine. One of the objectives is to truly give the interested student a realistic picture of what medicine is like as a medical student, resident, and as a physician. Bringing in doctors from the different fields for open discussions, hosting talks with med students, offering health related volunteer opportunities, sharing MCAT tips, and holding mock interviews are just a few of the activities that the group organizes.
