Certification in Standard First Aid (SFA) and CPR for Health Care Providers Level C are requirements for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) program at the University of Saskatchewan.
You are responsible for providing a copy of your valid certificate(s) to the UGME office no later than the first day of classes on August 19, 2013. Your certificate(s) must be valid until at least October 31, 2014.
You may obtain your SFA and CPR for Health Care Providers Level C certification from any registered company or organization. The Red Cross offers combined courses for Standard First Aid and CPR for Health Care Providers Level C regularly through a number of organizations in Saskatchewan. In addition, St. John Ambulance and SIAST offer individual courses in SFA and CPR Basic Life Saving for Health Care Providers. Further information regarding course offerings can be found at:

Please note: If you take a course or are issued a certificate without the CPR for Health Care Providers Level C designation, you will be required to re-take the course.
