Welcome to the College of Medicine
Originally founded as the School of Medical Sciences and located in the University Greenhouse in 1926, the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan has come a long way from its humble beginnings.
Nearly eighty-five years later, the College of Medicine has a full range of academic programming including the School of Physical Therapy and the Division of Biomedical Sciences. The College is governed by a representative Faculty Council, its standing committees and General Academic Assembly, and administered by the Deanery and its advisory committees.
Saskatchewan's College of Medicine improves health through excellence in education, research and clinical care.
The College of Medicine will be an integrated environment of scholarly inquiry where students, faculty, staff and the public take pride in the College as a centre of excellence dedicated to serving the people of Saskatchewan, Canada and beyond.
We value: integrity, excellence, inquiry, diversity, and people.
To improve educational quality, improve research intensiveness, improve clinical care, design effective partnerships, improve accountability and responsiveness, assure long-term financial stability and secure the resources to attain sustainable growth consistent with our vision.
