The College of Medicine has offered the Making the Links program since 2005. Making the Links is a unique certificate program for undergraduate medical students, that combines academic courses with intense service learning experiences in the context of an urban underserved community at SWITCH (the Student Wellness Initiative Towards Community Health) in Saskatoon, remote communities in northern Saskatchewan, and the Global South in Mozambique. Rich in interactive, experiential, and didactic learning opportunities, this is currently the only undergraduate certificate in global health in Canada. Read the story about how the Certificate in Global Health was developed.
