The Department of Pediatrics, University of Saskatchewan and Saskatoon District Health, Saskatoon, Canada is undertaking major recruitment initiatives to expand and enhance its clinical care, teaching and research programs. PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGIST:
The Department seeks a Pediatric Cardiologist to join the department. The successful candidate will provide consultative pediatric cardiology services for children of Saskatchewan. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in developing and guiding strategies for improving the health and health care of Saskatchewan children. The candidate will contribute to developing and delivering enhanced pediatric cardiology teaching curricula and will contribute to the design and implementation of residency program in pediatric cardiology.

MEDICAL GENETICS :
The Department seeks one medical geneticist to join the Section of Medical Genetics. The successful candidate will provide consultative medical genetics services for children of Saskatchewan. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in developing and guiding strategies for improving the health and health care of Saskatchewan children. The candidate will contribute to developing and delivering enhanced medical genetics teaching curricula.

DIRECTOR, METABOLIC DISEASES PROGRAM:
The Division of Medical Genetics, University of Saskatchewan seeks a medical geneticist with interest and expertise in metabolic diseases to provide general genetics services and to serve as Director of the Metabolic Diseases Program in an expanding Medical Genetics program. The Director will lead a team involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with metabolic disorders and will be involved with the provincial newborn screening program. The Provincial Laboratory has recently acquired a tandem mass spectrometer for use in the newborn screening program. This position combines clinical, teaching and research opportunities. Applicants must have a medical degree and be certified or eligible for certification through the Royal College of Physicians in Medical Genetics and/or Pediatrics and must have experience in the management of patients with metabolic disorders. Applicants from candidates with clinical experiences in biochemical genetics and who are certified through the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists and/or the American Board of Medical Genetics also will be considered.

SUBSPECIALTY TRAINING POSITIONS IN NEUROLOGY AND NEONATOLOGY:
The Sections of Pediatric Neurology and Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics, offer positions for subspecialty training. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredits both the neurology and neonatology programs. Candidates must have completed at least three years of core pediatric training in a Royal College accredited program.
