The manager, working with the Associate Dean of Research & Graduate Studies, promotes and supports the various aspects of the research agenda of the College including issues related to funding, human resources, infrastructure, support services, student research programs and other issues related to research.

The position reports to the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies, College of Medicine and provides guidance and advice on pertinent financial, procedural and operational research issues. This position oversees the finances of the research division and manages the summer student research programs, including securing funding for the programs. The manager also has daily management responsibilities for various support areas such as the research wash up units and Medical Stores.
